The Department of Mathematics organized the Rev. Fr. John Therezhath Lecture Series on 21 January 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Fr. Melesius Hall, with the aim of understanding mathematics not merely as numbers, but as a powerful framework for innovation and discovery. The lecture was delivered by Capt. Dr. Jaison Jacob, Assistant Professor and Head, PG & Research Department of Mathematics, St. Aloysius College, Thrissur. Dr. Jaison Jacob holds a PhD from CUSAT, Kochi (2023), with specialization in Stochastic Processes and its Applications, particularly Queueing and Inventory Systems. The session offered valuable insights into advanced mathematical concepts and their real-world applications, inspiring students and faculty to explore the transformative potential of mathematics in research and problem-solving.
