A two-day seminar and workshop were organised by the Department, beginning with a prayer and the formal inauguration of the Environmental Science Association. The first day featured a webinar on climate change and strategies to enhance the resilience of smart cities. The second day included an in-depth session on the technical aspects of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), followed by a group activity where participants conducted EIA for proposed projects such as a railway line through agricultural land and a hydroelectric project. The resource person also familiarised students with key tools and methodologies essential for carrying out effective EIA studies.
