The Fundamentals of Environmental Science course provides a comprehensive introduction to environmental systems, focusing on ecosystems, natural resources, biodiversity conservation, and environmental pollution. It emphasizes the interconnection of ecological components, the threats posed by human activities, and sustainable management strategies. Students will explore topics like renewable and non-renewable resources, ecosystem dynamics, and pollution control measures. Selection Criteria Students are eligible to select Fundamentals of Environmental Science (MDC) in Semester I and II under the following criteria:
  1. The course must not have been studied by the student in their 12th grade (Higher Secondary/Intermediate) curriculum.
  2. The student must not have already selected an MDC in Environmental Science or a closely related discipline in Semester I.
