M A Economics is offered for Post Graduate students. The program gives the students an opportunity to explore advanced topics in economics and emerging trends in the subject. The program covers areas like,
  • Advanced topics in Micro and Macro- economics, economic growth and development.
  • Indian economy, International trade and Finance, Capital market and instruments.
  • Public finance and policy, social sector, health and education, environmental economics, econometrics, statistics and research methodology.
Here the focus is more on student centric learning, guided learning, self- learning and research orientation. Industrial visits and internships give exposure to actual workplace to students. Training for NET examination, soft-skill training, project work, paper presentation and seminars are also part of the M A curriculum.
The Curriculum is designed and updated based on the opinions collected from academicians, industry experts and other stakeholders. The P G curriculum was framed in the OBE platform with clear mapping of Course, Program and Program Specific Outcomes.
