For almost seven decades, the Department of Economics at Sacred Heart College has played a leading role in economics education. The department became a catalyst of economic development and innovation in this part of the world. The India Today, the National Journal rated the department as the best department in the state and among one of the top 25 departments at the national level for the last so many years. Students of the department regularly top in the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in the university.
The Department library has over 8500 books concerning various branches of Economics, viz., Micro, Macro, Fiscal, Monetary, Development, Environmental, Economic Statistics and Mathematics, Econometrics, and other books. Further the Department library subscribes to 25 various Scholarly Journals and Reports (national and international) on Economics. |
