The SH College stands on top in sports achievements among the colleges under the MG University. With vibrant Basketball culture from its inception, the department of Physical Education of the college has proved its distinction in many other games including wining the coveted Manorama Trophy for the best college in sports thrice. The conduct of Rev. Fr. Bartholomew Memorial Tournaments in Basketball, Volleyball and Ball badminton in unbroken succession since 1945 itself is a testimonial to the abiding dedication of the department to sporting.
