The End Semester Examinations (ESE) of all GRADUATE and POSTGRADUATE
programmes (All EVEN Semesters -2,4 & 6) will commence as per the schedule. All UG
and PG students are requested to submit their applications (online) for the examination
along with the prescribed fee as per the following schedule.

The students who wish to write the supplementary / improvement examinations of
the previous Semester courses are also requested to submit separate applications.

(Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research)
09th   -  13th, January. 2018 at  S H College, Thevara

About Inspire:  It aims at strengthening the knowledge of the talented students and expanding their horizon in science research. Also it intends to nurture the young talents who have inquisitiveness for research and are budding geniuses in science and technology. It paves way for the empowerment of scientific sector of our country. This camp provides an excellent opportunity for science aspirants to commune with the renowned scientists and to participate in seminars and lectures by eminent personalities.

About this camp: The Sacred Heart College, Thevara, Kochi is organizing a five day residential camp INSPIRE (Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research) from 9th to 13th of January 2018. This programme is being implemented by the sponsorship from Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India. This camp is organised by Department of Physics with academic inputs form Botany, Chemistry, Mathematics  and Zoology departments of Sacred Heart College.

Who can attend: This residential camp is for the XI students from the state of Kerala and UT of Mahe, who are currently pursuing science subject(s) in their higher secondary course in the ongoing academic year and not attended such camps earlier. 200 students will be selected, from the applicants, according to the selection criteria set by DST. Interested students who meet the eligibility criteria may register their interest by submitting an application via e-mail to inspire@shcollege.ac.in. Application form is available for download, at the college website.

Mentors: Scientists from IIT, IISER, & national institutes from India.

Important notes: All expenses of the participants will be met by DST. Participating students and institutions have no financial liability on their parts. Outstation students will be provided free accommodation. Additional details for application /eligibility criteria can be had from www.online-inspire.gov.in or www.shcollege.ac.in . INSPIRE Internship Camp - 2018
Sacred Heart College, is organising an INSPIRE Internship Camp from 09-01-2018 - 13.01.2018. The camp is open to current XI science students who fall in the top 1% of those who passed the respective class X board exams.

The basic objective of INSPIRE is to communicate to the youth population of the country the excitements of creative pursuit of science and attract talent to the study of science. Interested students who meet the eligibility criteria may register their interest for participation by writing an e-mail to mathew.george@shcollege.ac.in , so that additional details concerning how you may participate can be provided. Arrival and Accommodation

Sacred Heart College, Thevara, Kochi is 2 kms. away from Ernakulam junction railway station. For precise direction please check Google map.

City buses are also available from Ernakulam Railways Station. You may board the bus plying to Thevara Ferry directly and disembark at college bus stop. Buses usually take 10 to 15 minutes to reach our college from Ernakulum south.

Accommodation will be arranged on request outside the campus. Please inform via mail in advance for accommodation registration. Expenses to be borne by the participants.


Please note that lunch and refreshments will be served during TWO seminar days. No breakfast and dinner will be arranged for the attendees of the seminar. However participants can avail breakfast and dinner from our college canteen .

The birthday of the second President of India, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, is celebrated as teacher's day in India to honour and acknowledge the contribution made by countless number of teachers in helping and moulding the careers of lakhs of students and in turn shaping the destiny of India. Dr. Radhakrishnan was a great scholar, philosopher and teacher of modern India. He was awarded Bharat Ratna in 1954. A good teacher has greater influence in shaping the life of an individual even more than his/her parents. As you know "Acharya Devo Bhava" is our culture. Let's join together this Saturday to establish our respect and love towards our beloved teachers.

Navathy of Sacred Heart Press - 2018
90 years of Sacred Heart Press was celebrated in the presence of MP of Ernakulam Prof. K V Thomas, Dr. K. S Radhakrishnan, Former PSC Chairman, Manager Fr. Dr. Augustine Thottakkara CMI, Principal Fr. Dr. Prasant Palackappillil, HoDs of various departments, numerous press employees, former press employees and their families.

Zoology Department fest -Genysys 2K18- Biomyriad
As part of the Genysys, a Biodiversity Conservation Rally- was organised by the Zoology Department students from Thevara Jn. to College.

Intercollegiate competitions were organised on Quiz, Debate,  Power point presentation, Poster designing, Treasure hunt, Photography, Face painting, Ad- Zab.

Later the students went to the Thevara old age home and shared a few hours with the elderly with music and food.

Kerala State Young Scientist Award 2017
Dr. Sumod of Physics department ​ has been awarded with the Kerala State Young Scientist Award 2017 from KSCSTE, Government of Kerala. Another feather to his already colourful cap!! Congratulations! 
The Kerala State Young Scientist Award by the Government of Kerala is intended to honour talented young Scientists in recognition of their outstanding contributions in any branch of science and technology. The Awardee will be presented with a certificate with citation and a cash prize of Rs. 50,000 and a research grant of Rs.50 lakhs. The Awardee, within 3 years of the receipt of the award, will be considered for a visit abroad for presenting the research work at a conference.  The Award will be presented by the Chief Minister at the inaugural session of the 30th Kerala Science Congress at Government Brennen College, Thalassery on 28th January 2018, 10.00 am.
